Stoke are ready to make a move for Rangers midfielder Jamie Ness after he became the latest player to walk away from Ibrox.
The 21 year-old is the latest player who has refused to have his contract switched to newco Rangers following the takeover by Charles Green's consortium and that could clear the way for a move to the Britannia Stadium. Green has threatened to take legal action against any player who refuses to transfer over to the new company and any club that attempts to sign them, but the Potters are not concerned and are ready to pursue a move. The Scotland international is effectively a free agent and reports claim that talks could have already taken place with Potters boss Tony Pulis over a potential move to the club. Stoke are confident of wrapping up the deal although it is still a complicated situation and could take a while to conclude if Green carries out his threat of legal action.
