Owen stepping up fitness
Stoke striker Michael Owen hopes to be back available within two to three weeks following a hamstring injury.
The striker has yet to force his way into the Potters side since signing for the club in the summer following his release from Manchester United but hopes to be knocking on the first-team door in a few weeks.
Owen had been training on his own throughout the summer as he searched for a club and although he was in good shape he was still behind the rest of the squad when he arrived.
A niggling hamstring injury has also held him back but speaking as a pundit on MOTD2 on Sunday evening, Owen confirmed that he is not too far away from making a return.
Stoke picked up a rare 1-0 win against QPR at the weekend but goals have been a problem so a fully-fit Owen could not come soon enough for boss Tony Pulis.
