Pennant set for Wigan
Stoke winger Jermaine Pennant could be set for a surprise move to Wigan as Latics look to replace Victor Moses.
Moses is all set to complete a move to Chelsea this week and Wigan boss Roberto Martinez has lined up a move for Pennant, who is up for grabs at the right price. Reports claim that the two clubs are close to agreeing a fee and Pennant will travel to the DW Stadium in the next 24 hours to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical. The 29-year-old was looking to put a difficult season behind him at the Britannia Stadium by nailing down a first-team place in the forthcoming campaign, but Tony Pulis is happy to cash in. Stoke themselves are on the verge of landing Michael Kightly from Wolves for £2million so the money received from the sale of Pennant will cover the deal.
