Ipswich are targeting a permanent move for Danny Higginbotham and Stoke boss Tony Pulis says he will not stand in his way.
Higginbotham is enjoying his loan spell at Portman Road and the Tractor Boys are keen to extend the deal when it expires in two weeks before signing him on a permanent basis in January.
The 33-year-old says he would consider staying on with the East Anglian outfit as he is enjoying the regular first-team football and Pulis is happy to let him move on.
The defender has been a great servant to the club and Pulis says he will do all he can to help him.
"He's a great lad, a great ambassador for this club and one of the bedrocks it has been built on," said Pulis. "But I understand his wish to be playing, especially at this stage of his career, so if I can help him I certainly will.
"We should never forget the contribution made by Danny, both on and off the field, and I certainly won't."
