Pulis handed treble fitness boost
Stoke boss Tony Pulis expects to welcome Peter Crouch, Glenn Whelan and Matthew Etherington back for Monday's clash with Aston Villa.
Crouch is being tipped to return against Villa after illness ruled him out of the midweek game with Manchester City, on top of a burglary at his home, while Whelan is responding well to treatment on a calf problem.
Etherington is another player in contention once more after being left out as a precaution by Pulis on Wednesday due to a slight strain.
The Potters chief will definitely have Ryan Shawcross to call on for the clash with Alex McLeish's side, as the defender is now free from the suspension which ruled him out of the 3-0 defeat to City.
