Stoke boss Tony Pulis says he hopes to get a new deal for Robert Huth sorted before pre-season as Everton wait in the wings.
The German international defender has just over 12 months to run on his current deal and Pulis is keen to tie him down to a new extended contract as soon as possible. Talks have so far failed to reach a successful conclusion and there have been suggestion that Everton are watching developments and are poised to make a move. Pulis is still hopeful of wrapping up a deal but it is thought he will not look to cash in on the player and will let him run his contract down if he does not pen a new one. "We are desperately keen to sort out Robert's future," Pulis revealed. "We have been talking to him for some time but whatever happens, he won't be sold. "I'm hopeful something will be sorted by the time we come back for pre-season training in July. He's obviously a player who is valued and the supporters have taken to him because of the way he approaches the game."
