Jonathan Walters claims 'there isn't a grudge' with David Luiz after the Chelsea defender's controversial tackle on him at the weekend.

The Stoke frontman received a nasty four-inch cut to his right leg after the Brazilian's late tackle on him during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge. Luiz escaped any punishment from the match official at the time, while Walters was visibly furious with his opponent as Chelsea skipper John Terry had to restrain him immediately after the incident. However the Republic of Ireland international claims he will not hold it against Luiz and is just focusing on being fit for Saturday's home clash with Swansea. "I was angry, but I have been angrier," Walters told the Stoke Sentinel. "I think I've reined it in a bit over the years. I think he tried to apologise afterwards, but didn't get the chance. "There isn't a grudge as far as I'm concerned. These things happen in football and you just have to get on with it. The main thing is I am fit for Saturday."
