Glenn Whelan should be fit for Stoke's trip to Liverpool this weekend despite picking up a hamstring problem.
The midfielder had to leave the field against Swansea at the weekend after he felt a tweak but it is not thought to be anything serious and he should be passed fit to play. Assistant boss Dave Kemp says Whelan will rest up for the next couple of days and expects him to be in the squad that makes the short trip to Anfield. "He hasn't trained this week and now they've got a couple of days off, so we will assess that one later in the week," Kemp told the Sentinal. "But at this stage we don't think it's too serious." Meanwhile Charlie Adam has been training as normal despite taking a knock to his shoulder and should also be fit to face his former club on Sunday.
