Wilkinson makes Pulis demand

Stoke defender Andy Wilkinson believes his display against Portsmouth should be good enough to earn him a regular starting spot.
The 25-year-old has found it difficult to earn a starting berth this season following the summer signing of Robert Huth from Middlesbrough, but got a rare chance to shine in the absence of the suspended Adoulaye Faye.
Wilkinson impressed throughout Sunday's 1-0 victory over Pompey, claiming it was his best display in a Stoke shirt, and now hopes Potters manager Tony Pulis will give him an extended run in the side.
"I'm ready whenever the gaffer picks me and I'm always going to give 110% for this club because I love it here," he told Stoke's official website.
"There is strong competition for places in the squad now and so it is important that I make the most of the opportunities I get in the hope that I can regain a regular place. I'm an out-and-out defender but if I can provide more of an attacking threat down the right then I am sure the gaffer will welcome it. Hopefully that might lead to me getting picked in the starting line-up more often."
