Stoke are reported to have failed with a £2million bid for Michael Kightly as Wolves fight to keep hold of the player.

Potters boss Tony Pulis is keen to bring in a new winger and has targeted a move for Kightly, who has just 12 months remaining on his current contract at Molineux.
Wolves face the prospect of losing the 26-year-old for nothing this time next year, but they would rather have him on board for next season's promotion push than cash in for just £2million.
The Black Country outfit are determined to keep hold of all of their star players and are reported to have rejected offers from Wolves and West Ham for Steven Fletcher and Matt Jarvis respectively.
The duo are also on Stoke's wanted list but are valued in double figures and Pulis sees Kightly as the cheaper option if he can convince Wolves to cash in.
