Black Cats busy on departure deals
Sunderland, 16:50, August 16, 2010 ,
Steve Bruce admits that deals are being worked on for Anton Ferdinand and Matt Kilgallon to leave, while Andy Reid could also go.
Former England Under-21 defender Ferdinand, who cost an estimated £6million from West Ham two years ago, is facing a make-or-break move to Italy with either Fiorentina or Palermo.
Bruce said after the Birmingham game: "I know that's on and that it's a possibility, but I don't know what stage it is at just yet."
The Black Cats boss confirmed Birmingham City's interest in George McCartney, while Bolton Wanderers and Middlesbrough have expressed an interested in Kilgallon.
The club are understood to be prepared to listen to offers for Reid, who is currently battling back to full fitness after an injury hit time on Wearside.
