Black Cats on the Hunt for new capture
Sunderland, 15:23, June 25, 2009 ,
Sunderland are understood to be planning another bid to sign Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt, who will cost at least £5million.
The Republic of Ireland international has been a long-term target for the Black Cats, with former boss Roy Keane attempting to sign the player during his time at the Stadium of Light.
Steve Bruce is also a big fan of the wideman, having tried to sign him during his stint at Wigan, but faces major competition for his signature this summer.
Hunt, who has indicated he wants to be playing Premier League football next season, is also said to be attracting interest from Everton, who can offer European football.
Meanwhile, Reading have suggested that it will need an offer of at least £5million to prize Hunt away from the Madejski Stadium.
