Black Cats, Stoke face Fletcher fight

Wolves are set to invite Sunderland and Stoke to step up their pursuit Steven Fletcher this week after signing his replacement.
The Scotland international is understood to be a target for both Martin O'Neill and Tony Pulis with Stoke having already asked about the availability of the 25-year-old last month.
Sunderland's interest is also well known in the ex-Hibernian striker who scored seven headed goals last season - the most by any player in the Premier League.
Wolves signed Iceland international striker Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson from Lillestrom for £2.4million last month and he will now join up with Stale Solbakken's squad for pre-season training.
Molineux officials believe they can get £10million for Fletcher, who was once linked to Real Madrid and can boast a decent top-flight goal return of 22 in 61 matches.
Wolves will point to the huge fees commanded by Darren Bent and Andy Carroll in the past 18 months as proof of their valuation.
However, the transfer saga could run until deadline day late in August with Sunderland appearing to be particularly cagey in their pursuit of the striker.
