Cats re-ignite defender interest
Sunderland boss Roy Keane will make another attempt to sign Leighton Baines after missing out on the defender last summer.
Keane had a £6million bid accepted by Wigan last summer and also held talks with the player, but in the end the Liverpool-born star opted for his dream move to Everton.
The left-back has struggled for first-team action at Goodison Park this season and reports two weeks ago suggested that Everton boss David Moyes could be willing to cash in.
If that is the case then Keane, who lost out to Aston Villa in the race to sign Reading's Nicky Shorey last week, will be leading the race for his services.
