Sunderland will be without the suspended Kenwyne Jones and Lorik Cana when they take on Tottenham this weekend.
Jones will miss the next three games for the Black Cats after he was shown a straight red card against West Ham last week, while Cana picked up his fifth yellow of the season and will serve a one-match ban.
Influential midfielder Lee Cattermole is making a quicker than expected recovery but is still at least a month away from returning, while Bolo Zenden is back fit and could come into contention.
