Defender can learn from Bruce
Sunderland, 11:00, August 12, 2010 ,
Nedum Onuoha feels Steve Bruce can improve his game after sealing a season-long loan switch to Sunderland from Manchester City.
The 23-year-old, who came through the ranks at City, has found himself slip down the pecking order under Roberto Mancini and is seeking more first-team action at the Stadium of Light.
Onuoha becomes the third defensive arrival at Sunderland this summer, following the captures of Titus Bramble and John Mensah, and feels he can learn plenty from the Black Cats boss.
The former England Under-21 captain told the Sunderland official website: "It's an exciting move for me. The way things were going for me at Manchester City, I didn't really think I was going to be a part of things this season.
"Steve Bruce had mentioned an interest in me and to have him wanting me was a great thing. I've come here to learn and develop myself and with someone like Steve at the helm, I can't go too far wrong."
