Fletcher price hike

Sunderland have been told by Wolves they will have to cough up £15m if they are to land their top scorer Steven Fletcher.

The 25-year-old has netted 22 goals in the past two seasons for the side but could not save them from the dreaded drop but, despite relegation, they appear determined to keep him. It was thought that £10m would be enough to persuade Wolves to sell but that figure appears to have leaped upwards and they now apparently want £15m for the 25-year-old. Black Cats boss Martin O'Neill is after a new front man but is unlikely to make an offer in that region.
