Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher is hoping his Premier League debut double for the club will help to justify his £12million fee.

The 25-year-old helped himself to his first goals for the club in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Swansea and in the process, started to repay the faith invested in him by manager Martin O'Neill.
O'Neill remained dogged in his pursuit of the Scot during the summer as Wolves held out for their asking price, driving the Black Cats up well in excess of their initial bid.
Fletcher told the Sunderland Echo: "There are always people talking about it [the fee].
"I'm just happy to get the two goals to repay the gaffer and his faith in bringing me here to the club. It takes a lot of pressure off myself because obviously the fans are going to expect goals. Hopefully I can get a few more now."
