Gunners opener for Black Cats

Sunderland have been handed a tricky trip to Arsenal on the opening day of the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League season on August 18.

New boys Reading provide the opposition for the Wearsiders' first home game of the campaign a week later before a trip to Swansea follows on September 1.
Derby clashes against Newcastle are pencilled in for October 20 (home) and April 13 (away).
Martin O'Neill's men welcome champions Manchester City on Boxing Day and travel to Liverpool on New Year's Day.
They end the season with a trip to Tottenham on May 19.
