Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan has revealed he hopes to seal a permanent deal away from the club by the end of the month.
The 26-year-old was a big hit in his first season on Wearside, scoring 10 goals in 34 appearances following his £13million from Rennes in the summer of 2010. However, the Ghana international then made a surprise loan move to UAE side Al Ain FC the following summer. Gyan admits he is keen to make the move permanent rather than return to the Stadium of Light, while cash-rich Al Ain certainly have the resources to complete a deal. The former Udinese striker has revealed a transfer could be sealed by the end of June. "Al Ain have shown an interest in signing me permanently, and I am also interested in staying," he was quoted as saying in the Sunderland Echo. "I like the place and my family are also in love with the place."
