Lee set to miss out
Sunderland skipper Lee Cattermole is unlikely to return to the side in time for the visit of Arsenal this weekend.
The Black Cats skipper has hardly played since November but was thought to be getting back to full fitness this week.
Sadly though he has felt a twinge in his knee in training and is again rated as doubtful for the clash with Gunners.
Martin O'Neill is hopeful of having him back for the final third of the season but is unlikely to risk him at home to the Gunners.
He said: "On Tuesday, he did the training and felt a bit of something.
"We had another look at him yesterday and we could do with him for the last third of the season.
"We've missed a bit of presence there in midfield at different times.
"Through no fault of his own through injury, he's missed a chunk of the season where we've had to do without him.
"We've got through some of the games, but it would nice to have him back for the final third of the season."
Boss Martin O'Neill has no other injury worries and both Danny Rose and Titus Bramble should be fit to start in defence.
