Midfielder set for Tractor Boys

Sunderland, 17:29, August 26, 2009

Grant Leadbitter is set to sign for Ipswich after Sunderland agreed a fee with the Tractor Boys for the midfielder.

Following the arrival of Lorik Cana and Lee Cattermole at the Stadium of Light, Leadbitter has become surplus to requirements and boss Steve Bruce is happy to let him go.
Tractor Boys boss Roy Keane knows all about the player following their time together at Sunderland and a deal will be pushed through as long as personal terms can be agreed.
"A fee has been agreed between Sunderland and Ipswich for Grant and we have been given permission to open talks with Ipswich," the player's agent Matthew Buck told skysports.
"We are heading down for talks now and we will see what happens."
