The agent of Sunderland defender Pascal Chimbonda has denied that the player is set for a return to former club Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Wigan right-back only moved to the Stadium of Light from Spurs in the summer, but fell out of favour with former boss Roy Keane before his departure last month.
It was claimed that Chimbonda could be heading back to White Hart Lane or French champions Lyon this month as a result of his lack of action on Wearside. However after featuring in new Black Cats boss Ricky Sbragia's side for Saturday's 2-1 FA Cup third round win against Bolton his agent, Roger Boli, confirmed he is going nowhere.
Boli told Setanta.com: "This rumour about a possible return to Tottenham is rubbish. What Pascal wants to do is play, and play well.
"He's not desperate to move clubs during the transfer window.
"Has he a future at Sunderland? Well, he is under contract, so obviously he has a future there and is committed to helping the club stay up."
