Sunderland have been linked with a swoop for Wolves' Steven Fletcher, but will have to splash out at least £8million to seal a deal.
The Scottish striker joined Wolves from Burnley for £7m in 2010 but has been tipped to depart Molineux following Wolves' relegation. Martin O'Neill is keen to bolster his attack this summer as it would appear as if the Sunderland boss will not try and sign Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner, who spent last season on loan at the Stadium of Light, on a permanent basis. There has also been speculation Stephane Sessegnon could be set for a summer exit, with Spurs said to be keen, and O'Neill is eager to ensure he has a strong attacking contingent ahead of the 2012/2013 campaign. Fletcher has been linked with a number of Premier League sides following Wolves' relegation and will command a hefty transfer fee as the Molineux outfit are under no pressure to sell.
