Striker not on terms with Tigers

Sunderland, 17:44, July 16, 2009

Hull have withdrawn their £1.5m bid for Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy after talks over personal terms broke down.

The Tigers agreed the fee with Sunderland for Republic of Ireland international earlier this week but talks over personal terms broke down on Thursday.
Manager Phil Brown has already seen offers for Fraizer Campbell [Sunderland], Marc-Antoine Fortune [Celtic]and Michael Owen [Man Utd] fall by the wayside this summer.
Murphy was also wanted by his ex-Black Cats boss Roy Keane at Ipswich - who may come back in for the 26-year-old.
