Striker race on

Sunderland have joined the race for Icelandic striker Bjorn Sigurdarson but Everton and Reading are all said to be keen as well.

The Lillestrom frontman is expected to move on this summer after becoming one of the hottest properties in Scandinavian football at the tender age of 21. Martin O'Neill needs to add to his front-line in the summer but faces a major battle as Everton and Reading are also keen and Bolton and Fulham were after him last summer. Bundesliga sides Hannover, Stuttgart and Werder Bremen are also in the hunt.
