Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy is being tipped for a move to Celtic in a £1.5m deal despite interest from Ipswich.
The 27-year-old Republic of Ireland hitman has slipped down the pecking order at the Stadium of Light and spent the second half of last season on loan at Portman Road.
The former Black Cats boss Roy Keane was keen to make his Town stay permanent after watching him score six times in 11 games.
It's thought the two clubs are very close to agreeing the terms of the deal which would see Murphy become Neil Lennon's first signing since taking over as Celtic manager.
