Turner set for exit
Sunderland central defender Michael Turner is on the verge of joining rivals Norwich after travelling to Carrow Road for a medical.
The 28-year-old made 24 appearances in the Premier League last season for the Black Cats, he has made 77 appearances in all since joining from Hull back in 2009, but it looks like he does not fit into Martin O'Neill's plans for the future. He was linked with a return to Hull to team up with former boss Steve Bruce again but that always looked unlikely and he is now set for a switch to Norwich. The deal could be completed by the weekend, as long as all goes well with the medical and personal terms, after reports claimed that the two sides have agreed a fee for the player who cost Sunderland £4m when he was signed three years ago.
