Defender fitness hopes

Swansea City, 11:29, January 19, 2010 ,

Swansea boss Paulo Sousa is waiting on the scan results of defender Albert Serran's knee but remains cautiously optimistic.

The 25-year-old was substituted in the win over Leicester at the weekend after picking up the problem having himself only come on as a substitute.
The hope is that the scan will reveal no serious trouble and he may even be able to take his place in the squad for the trip to Middlebsrough this weekend.
Meanwhile Andrea Orlandi should be fit for the trip to the Riverside after overcoming his thigh injury.
