Mark Gower is hoping he has done enough to keep his place against Liverpool after returning to the Swansea side at Manchester United.
The 33-year-old had not started a game since New Year's Eve but was thrown in at Old Trafford due to an injury to Leon Britton and is hoping to keep his place on Sunday.
Much will depend on Britton and if he returns to fitness but Gower was more than happy with his display against United and hopes Brendan Rodgers keeps faith in him.
"Leon was suffering with his knee a little bit so the gaffer gave me the nod," Gower revealed. "I hadn't started since the Spurs game as the lads have done well. It's been hard because I want to be out on the pitch playing.
"If you're going to play for the first time in three months then Old Trafford is not a bad place to do it. I thought I equipped myself well and slotted in smoothly enough."
