Swansea City have clinched the signing of Michu from Rayo Vallecano for a fee thought to be in the region of £2m.

The Spanish midfielder underwent a medical yesterday and after agreeing personal terms, he has now put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the South Wales outfit.
Michu becomes the third new players to join the Swans since Michael Laudrup took over from Brendan Rodgers as the club's manager, with Jonathan de Guzman and Chico having also checked in from Villarreal and Genoa respectively.
Laudrup is now just awaiting international clearance to press the 26-year-old into action, as he prepares his new team for a second straight season in the Premier League.
The Dane has turned to Michu to plug the gap left in midfield by loan star Gylfi Sigurdsson's decision to join Spurs from Hoffenheim instead of the Swans.
Like Sigurdsson, he too knows his way to the net having notched 17 times in all competition last term to become La Liga's highest scoring midfielder.
Rayo had been hoping to command a fee closer to £5m for the highly-rated player, but Laudrup managed to get him for a lot less due to the Spanish side's well documented financial problems.
