New boy fits the bill - Monk

Swansea City, 14:09, November 25, 2009

Swansea skipper Gary Monk believes the club have done some good business by landing David Cotterill from Sheffield United.

The 21-year-old as joined on loan from the Blades but the move will become a permanent deal when the transfer window opens in January and Monk believes it is a good piece of business.

"I think he will suit our style of play and I think he feels that way too," Monk told the Evening Post.

"When we played Sheffield United earlier in the season, I thought he was their best player attacking-wise.

"He will bring increased competition to our squad, which is important, and hopefully playing for Swansea will bring the best out of him.

"I think it will and I think it's a good piece of business by the club."
