Richards pens Swansea extension

Swansea City, 12:15, October 27, 2011

Midfielder Jazz Richards says he is delighted to have extended his stay at the Liberty Stadium by signing a new 18-month contract.

The Wales Under-21 international has been a peripheral figure for Swansea this season as he has featured just once in their Premier League campaign, coming off the bench against Norwich.
However, manager Brendan Rodgers views the 20-year-old as one for the future and has rewarded his hard work with a new deal.
Richards told the club's website he is happy to have penned a new contract and hopes he can now push on to establish himself in the first team.
"I am delighted to have agreed a new contract. I've really enjoyed being part of the squad and I feel I am developing all the time, " he said.
"It was always my dream to play for my hometown club, so you can imagine what playing for the club in the Premier League means. It was only a brief appearance against Norwich, but it was an amazing experience despite the result.
"I feel I am very much part of the manager's plans here. He is always keen to give youngsters a chance, and that is very encouraging."
