Swansea defender Angel Rangel has blasted rumours of unrest behind the scenes and says the squad are united behind Michael Laudrup.

The Swans had not won in five game before defeating Wigan 2-1 at the weekend and there had been rumours that some senior players were unhappy with the leadership of new boss Laudrup. The Dane's methods have also been questioned following the departure of Brendan Rodgers but Rangel has played down the rumours and says everyone at the Liberty Stadium is united. Rangel told the club's official website: "We hadn't won in the last five games, so we needed three points. We showed great spirit and character and it proves we are all in this together despite the recent rumours. We knew when we were 2-1 with 15 minutes to go that we would have to dig deep, and we did that. "It was important in the first half that we didn't concede and in the second half, we were outstanding. We did concede a goal, which denied us a clean sheet, but we are all very happy with the three points."
