Spanish deal looks on
Swansea City, 14:07, July 2, 2009 ,
Swansea City are in talks over the potential signing of former Barcelona player Jordi Lopez, who looks to be on his way out of QPR.
The player recently rejected an extension to his contract at Loftus Road and in light of this, Swans boss Paulo Sousa has begun talks to bring the experienced player to Liberty Stadium.
Two unnamed championship sides are also in the race to sign Lopez, but it is thought that the Swans are favourites to sign the 28-year-old.
Lopez's agent Alex Bonnot told the BBC: "Contact has been made; we've been talking with Paulo. Paulo would be happy to have Jordi with him. There's a good professional relationship between them."
