Swansea are hoping Wayne Routledge will become the latest player to commit his future and sign a new deal with the club.
The Swans lost some key players over the summer with the likes of Joe Allen and Scott Sinclair moving on but they have since managed to tie key players down to new deals. Michael Vorm and Ashley Williams have already signed long-term contracts and despite being injured Neil Taylor is also on the verge of committing his future. Swansea are now turning their attentions to Routledge who has managed to force his way into the side on a regular basis this season and is keen to sign up. "Hopefully, I can stay for longer than my current contract as I'm enjoying playing football for the club," he revealed. "I get on really well with the boys, the staff and everyone in the city." The 27-year-old's current contract expires at the end of next season but Swansea are keen to get him tied down before he goes into the final 12 months.
