Swans bid to tie down trio

Swansea are locked in talks with Michel Vorm, Ashley Williams and Neil Taylor in an attempt to tie them down to new deals at the club.
Vorm and Williams still have two years to run on their current deals but Swansea are keen to get them tied to new ones as they do not want another Scott Sinclair situation on their hands. The winger signed for Manchester City as Swansea could not run the risk of losing him for nothing in 12 months and they now want all key players tied down to long-term deals. "We are working on quite a few things," chairman Huw Jenkins said. "We are looking to make sure we have got a few of our experienced players on extended deals. "That's something we are looking to do at the moment and we're optimistic that we'll be able to get things sorted with a number of players." Jenkins is also hoping to get Taylor tied down to a new deal and says the fact he is out for the season with a broken ankle, does not change a thing. "Neil's injury does not impact on the contract situation," Jenkins added. "The discussions with Neil were more or less concluded before the injury and nothing has changed. Hopefully things will be finalised soon."
