Swansea have signed a deal that will see the club move to a new state-of-the-art training facility.

The agreement with Swansea University will see the development of a jointly-owned complex in the Fairwood area near the university campus. Swansea will lease the university playing fields to develop the new facility, which the university will also use for training and competitive fixtures.
Once completed the new complex will include eight full-size pitches, two of which will be all-weather, and refurbished changing facilities. There will also be buildings to house extra changing facilities, offices, seminar rooms and rooms for the clubs' medical staff and physiotherapists.
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins told the club's official website: "We are delighted to join forces with Swansea University on this exciting project.
"Our aim as a football club has always been to develop a top-flight training facility, but also to develop a good working relationship with like-minded organisations and people.
"Swansea City and Swansea University will work together to enhance the sporting facilities at Fairwood that will form part of the fabric of the city for many years to come. This project is one we can all be proud of."
