Swansea are said to be among the clubs who are showing an interest in Manchester City defender Kolo Toure.
Swans boss Michael Laudrup is looking to bolster his defence when the transfer window re-opens and Toure is reported to be on his list of possible targets.
The Ivory Coast ace has struggled for action so far this season which has led to suggestions he could be on the move with Swansea, Newcastle, Aston Villa, West Brom and QPR all said to be keen.
However the news that City defender Micah Richards could be out for up to 16 weeks with a knee injury, could change the situation and Toure may be needed as cover.
Toure is out of contract in the summer and if nothing else he could now get a chance to put himself in the shop window with a view to finding another club.
