Swansea have been boosted by the news goalkeeper Michael Vorm is close to penning a new deal at the Liberty Stadium.
The Dutchman has been a revelation since arriving at the club and his performances have led to speculation linking him with a move away in the near future.
It is no surprise that Brendan Rodgers has been linked with a swoop as doubts surround the future of Pepe Reina at Liverpool, but all the rumours are about to be put to bed.
Chairman Huw Jenkins last week confirmed that talks had begun over a new contract for the player and now it looks as though he will put pen-to-paper on a new four-year deal in the coming days.
The Swans are also close to agreeing new deals with Wales stars Neil Taylor and Ashley Williams as they bid to tie all their star players down to lengthy contracts.
