Wayne Routledge is producing arguably the best form of his career for Swansea and he is now eager to get stuck into Manchester City.
The 27-year-old has had a nomadic career taking in spells with Tottenham, Portsmouth, Fulham, Aston Villa, Cardiff, QPR and Newcastle after first coming to prominence at Crystal Palace.
Last season he played a bit part role in south Wales as well under Brendan Rodgers, but he has flourished since Michael Laudrup was handed the managerial reins in the summer.
Routledge, who would be keen to discuss an extension to his contract with the Swans, has started every league game, scoring two goals and creating several others as he revels in the freedom Laudrup has afforded his wide men.
And he admits the Dane's faith in him has given his confidence a real boost and he is aiming to turn in another eye catching display against the reigning Premier League champions this weekend.
He said: "For me, on a personal note, it's going well, I'm playing games, making chances and scoring goals so I can't ask for much more. People can ask you to pinpoint what it is, but I'm not sure. I'm playing more and that's probably given me a bit more confidence and now you're seeing the best of me."
