Swindon will welcome back defender Alan McCormack for their npower League Two trip to Aldershot on Tuesday.

The Irishman pulled out of Saturday's 1-0 win over Plymouth at the County Ground during the warm-up to attend the birth of his daughter but is set to return to the starting line-up at the EBB Stadium. Robins captain Paul Caddis came back into the Swindon XI at the weekend after more than a month on the sidelines with an ankle problem and he is expected to start as the Wiltshire outfit look to secure promotion to League One. A draw will send Swindon up, and the team are expected to be joined on the touchline by manager Paolo Di Canio - who returned to his native Italy over the weekend to be with his family following the death of his mother Pierina. Winger Matt Ritchie remains a doubt with a minor knock while striker Jonathan Tehoue will not feature after the on-loan Leyton Orient man was told by Di Canio that he has no future at the club.
