Robins "lucky" to tame Shrews
Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio admits his side were very lucky to beat Shrewsbury 2-1 at the County Ground.
After Matthew Richards gave the visitors a first-half lead, substitute Alan Connell bagged a brace to send the Robins soaring to the top of npower League Two.
"We are lucky. For the first 55 minutes Shrewsbury deserved to be in front. Maybe they should have had a penalty in the second half but we then went on to dominate the game," Di Canio told the club's official website.
"It's the first time in a while that we have had some luck and the win makes me very happy. Before the game I saw some of my players white in the face, they looked shy.
"We have achieved something important in getting to the top of the league but it is a long road and there are many games to play. There are many teams around us but it's a good position to be in.
"We can extend the gap between ourselves and fourth place, that is what we have to do. Once we have done that then we need to think about winning the title."
