Murray ready for Ferrero showdown

Andy Murray is taking nothing for granted as he prepares to face Juan Carlos Ferrero in his quarter-final clash at Wimbledon.

The 22-year-old British number one will look to secure a last-four place for the first time when he takes to Centre Court on Wednesday afternoon. However, Murray knows he cannot be complacent against the 29-year-old Spanish wildcard, who is both a former number one seed and French Open champion.
The Scot, who comfortably defeated Ferrero in the Queen's Club semi-finals just two weeks ago, said: "Ferrero is a very tough player. He plays well on any surface - he's a former world number one.
"In every match, regardless of who you're playing against, especially in an individual sport, anything can happen on the day.
"I played very well at Queen's but the courts here are a little bit different.
"If I play poorly, there's a good chance I'll lose against him. But I'll try my best to play well. If I do that, I've got a chance of winning."
If Murray, who is trying to become the first British man to win the Wimbledon singles title since Fred Perry in 1936, does progress to the semi-finals he will face the winner of Lleyton Hewitt and Andy Roddick's last-eight clash.
