Murray relishing American return

Tennis, 10:42, August 25, 2008

Andy Murray feels he plays his best tennis at the US Open and says it represents his best chance of winning a Grand Slam title.

The British number one is preparing for the year's last 'Slam, having enjoyed his best season to date which has seen him move up to sixth place in the world rankings.
The 21-year-old Scot picked up two early-season wins in Qatar and Marseille before reaching the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
He then showed his class on the hard courts when winning the Masters Series title in Cincinatti earlier this month, and is now relishing the chance to take on the big boys at Flushing Meadows.
"I don't know exactly why it is but I always feel comfortable here," Murray said. "I love New York as a city. When I missed Wimbledon last year I realised how much it meant to me.
"I always want to play great at Wimbledon and do well there but just for my personality, I think the US Open and New York suits me better.
"I just think for me, this is my best surface. I've said it all along, I think I play my best tennis here, I feel most comfortable on the courts, my results have shown that - I've always played well in America. So I think this is my best chance for winning a slam."
