Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admits he needs to improve his squad over the summer but will need to sell players first to raise funds.
Spurs missed out on a Europa League place for next season following a 3-1 final-day defeat at Liverpool and Redknapp knows he needs to strengthen if his side are to improve on their seventh-placed finish next season.
However, the Spurs boss is aware money is tight at White Hart Lane and he will have to get rid of some players before he can sign any, with David Bentley tipped to be among several high-profile departures.
"We have spent all our money already in keeping the club in the Premier League," said Redknapp.
"We saw against Liverpool that we are a little short because we had some key players missing.
"We would like to add some players in the summer and I have some targets, but I will have to raise the money to go after them.
"We will have to wheel and deal because we used what money there was to bring in (Robbie) Keane and (Wilson) Palacios to keep us in this league."
