Tottenham are being linked with a move for French international Cedric Carrasso as they step up their search for a new goalkeeper.

French newspaper Le Parisien claim Spurs have identified the Bordeaux stopper as a potential long-term successor to number one Brad Friedel, who is getting no younger at 41. His club value the 30-year-old at around £5.5m, but no deal will be done for him until after Euro 2012 where he is currently third choice for France behind Hugo Lloris and Steve Mandanda. The White Hart Lane outfit have also been looking at Lloris, although his price tag of £12m has put them off the 25-year-old who is also wanted by Barcelona. It's understood Spurs have been made a number of enquiries about potential targets this summer despite having no manager following the sacking of Harry Redknapp. England keeper Robert Green was one of the names being looked at before he opted to join QPR instead following the expiry of his contract with West Ham.
