Tottenham are sweating over the fitness of Luka Modric and Aaron Lennon after they picked up injuries against Spartak Moscow.
Modric is suffering from a tight hamstring while Lennon picked up a groin niggle and the duo are now touch and go for Sunday's clash against Newcastle.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp says he will monitor the duo over the next couple of days before he decides whether or not they will be fit to face the Magpies.
"I wanted to take Modric off at half-time," Redknapp admitted. "I only wanted to give him half a game because he is very important to us. He ended up with a tight hamstring and Aaron Lennon ended up with a tight groin. They could be struggling for Newcastle on Sunday.
"We'll have to see how they are, they won't train on Friday. It will be touch and go I think."
