Duo set for Euro bow
William Gallas and Steven Pienaar may feature for Tottenham in their Europa League clash at Rubin Kazan after shaking off injuries.
Frenchman Gallas has been plagued by calf injuries since the summer and has been on the growing list of defensive absentees at White Hart Lane.
Meanwhile, midfielder Pienaar has been struggling with a groin problem since the end of last season but is now ready to return to the fray which is a major boost for the club.
Spurs will be without four first-teamers for the Group A encounter, with Scott Parker, Luka Modric, Gareth Bale and Sandro not travelling with the rest of the squad.
Jermain Defoe and Sebastien Bassong have flown out to Russia and are expected to play a part in the game, as Spurs look to maintain their unbeaten run in Europe.
Boss Harry Redknapp will not be there as he has stayed in London for routine heart surgery, which he had on Wednesday and which was described as successful.
