Ex-Spurs ace could be January target

Harry Redknapp may look to bring Pedro Mendes back to Tottenham during January's transfer window, according to reports.

Redknapp worked with the midfielder during his time at Portsmouth, signing him from Spurs back in 2006, before then selling him to Rangers in August of this year.

It's understood that Redknapp would have liked to have kept Mendes at Fratton Park but had a number of midfield options and the club decided to accept the £million offer.

The Tottenham boss has made it clear that he thinks the balance of the Spurs midfield is not how it should be but after impressing at Ibrox, Rangers may not be so keen to allow Mendes to move on.
